If Bama is unanimously ranked #1, who is #2? I dont give a shite about BCS rankings (although that is what counts in the end), but realistically, is LSU the 2nd best team in college football? I think so after watching this past Saturday! Now i know that there is still a lot of football left to be played but if LSU can finish out the season like they played this Saturday, I think that their record doesnt reflect how this team ranks among other NCAAF teams. Oregon is too one dimensional (offsense is their key), K-State is a balanced team but I dont think they can compete against Bama, LSU, Georgia, FL... or even S. Carolina.

Look at the whole season, do you really think so?

We may have the best talent, but we are young and hurt at key spots. Next year looks like our year, IMO.

If LSU played all year like Saturday night, then no! They are the BEST team in CFB.

That's what people said about this year.

Next year we have to play Bama and UGA on the road.

Yes. As of right now. Over the last 4 weeks, LSU has been really really good. Cut down the mistakes, and this team is right up there at the top.

This would be LSU's competition for #2 because they have a power running game.

Oregon relies on speed, which we know is fairly negated against to tier SEC teams.

But realistically
sorry son, there is no realism here. Just a bunch fairies who think that life is great and don't have a critical bone in their body. That being said, I'm sure many here are proud to be sitting at número 7. Banghead

I love K-State... i have been to three of their games this year (went to college there and after finishing, i moved back to Louisiana). I love their play and think that they are one hell of a team... but are they better than LSU?

well...their QB play has been heisman worthy, defense has been rock solid, and they have 2 very key victories on the road.

No, we absolutely are not. We are 1A and 1B with Bama. If Bama gets a lost it will likely be a letdown game with A&M. If not, they will probably win out decisively. We are just as good if not better.

I'm just hoping Bama, K-State, Oregon, and ND all finish the year undefeated.

Then we get the wheels in motion to start the playoff a year early.

Cause I don't see us going undefeated next year, but 1 loss will put us in a playoff.

And that team that was in Tiger Stadium on Saturday Night never would have lost to FLA

The only thing that is obvious is the fact that both LSU and Bama belong to an eight team playoff system. Determining the best two teams bu opinion is idiotic. Teams don't play the same schedule and for a team to be considered the NC, they must have beaten 3 or 4 other top 10 teams in a playoff format.

if teams brought their A game on a neutral field i think the only teams better than LSU are: bama and oregon.

i slightly lean towards KSU beating us and slightly lean away from UGA beating us.

i think we win a low scoring contest with ND.

i think we beat FSU. UF in a rematch, and we beat USC.

but so many variables. we can't sustain many more injuries.

They just played their best game of the year and lost at home. So, no.
