What did Saints Talk think of Charles Brown's performance?

He may have to be the starter next week against Atlanta. Zach Strief never came back into the game. Anyone know excatly what kind of injury Strief has?
Brown did give up a sack and Brees fumbled but PT saved that play with the recovery. Brown started to get more playing time last week vs. Denver. He was used as an extra blocker much like Strief used to be.
O-line blocked pretty well overall. The Saints piled up 140 yards rushing, a season high.

In Strief's defense, that looked like a straight shot to the nuts.

yeah, I mean he wasn't lights out by any means.
I was just wondering if Strief had the same type of injury that he suffered last year. To me, he had played a lot better since that second half vs. KC.

not impressed. If he has to go in, they need to put a fullback or TE over there to keep Brees clean.

Charlie Brown was meh but IMO Brees held on to the ball too long on that fumble Pierre recovered.

wasn't he responsible for the ingram tackle behind the line? let the rusher go right by him. not a very good tackle.

He definitely was to blame on the goal line stuff @ Lambeau last year when we had a chance to tie the game.
I think Brown is a really, really bad player and I hope we don't have to see him this year, and DEFINITELY not next year if Bushrod leaves and we don't get an OK replacement.

The STL game last year was very rough for him. I do think he was playing with an injury in that game though. Or was that the game where he went down and never came back? I can't remember exactly.
During the Saints-Texans game last year, Strief went down and Brown took over the RT job for a few weeks. I would assume Brown played well enough in that Texans game seeing how the Saints had that huge 4th quarter rally.
I'm hoping it wasn't that bad of an injury to Strief. If he got kicked in the balls, well, we all know how bad that sucks. We have stayed pretty healthy over the years on the O-line. Hopefully Strief can return next week. Brown is too on-and-off in my opinion. But we'll need his help as an extra blocker in certain situations.

Brown seems to be a backup at best. He did not develop as the FO had hoped. There were always questions about his strenth, and it doesn't appeared to have improved too much. He is still very succeptible to the bull rush

Bad as usual. I like him in that "eligible" and backup role but that's about it. Hope Strief recovers from that crotch shot quickly
