I'm looking at one of their 9mm carbines but I'm not familiar at all with Hi-Point. What says the OB?

would be a good gun to do a drive-by with if you are interested in a spray and prey. if not, DO NOT buy one.

I owned the 4095 carbine for a while. It really was a good gun despite the internet hate. There were a few things I didn't like; 10 rd mags only, heavy for what it was, funky design but reliable, fun to shoot, and accurate.

Card carrying republican. The pistols are junky but that carbine was pretty good.

Honestly I have held electric lazer guns at carnivals that had a better feel. These things are crap.

I'm gonna buy one from a pawn shop one of these days. Never know when you'll need a throw away

You are better off carrying a dull knife.

Dude, you don't buy a throw-away from a licensed firearms dealer. If they find it they trace it straight back to you

Their carbines really aren't that bad. The single stack magazines really put them at a disadvantage but they are decent weapons.

The pistols on the other hand - pretty much suck at everything. Well, maybe except being a hammer.

Hi-Point 9mm carbine is amazing for the money.

Gets the job done. Accurate as hell. Can hit a paper plate every time at 90 yards with iron sights. Holds a group the size of a quarter at 20 yards.

Will drill a hole right through a 7-inch diameter pine tree at 65 yards while firing low-power Winchester white box ammo...won't get that penetration from a 9mm pistol.

Absolutely never jams...ever.

Would I use it in a gunfight around the house? You bet.

Would I take it into military-type combat arena? Absolutely not.

You don't need a Makita or Milwaulkee cordless drill for jobs around your apartment...a Ryobe is great for that.

The older style stock is super-ergonomic. Frankly, it instinct shoots better than any $4-figure SMG I ever handled in the service. Can't say the same for the newer style stock.

Hey, for 200 bucks, what do you have to lose. Great plinker or truck gun, and you won't cry if it gets stolen.

It does have downsides that I can list if you'd like, but I'd still get it if I were you.
