This pretty much sums up how I feel about the game.

Agreed 100%

Funny, most on here were screaming for these plays all year long. Now we try a few and Les is all wrong.

I loved it and it almost worked.

Exactly how many teams could be where we are with this many starters out?

We kicked Bamas arse except for 1 or 2 plays. They know it too.

People complain all year (and last year) about being too conservative.

Today they are complaining about being to risky. Can't have it both ways folks and the bottom line is if the onside kick or the 4th and 1 would have worked, we wouldn't hear any complaints. And on top of that, the overall gameplan was brilliant, we've been waiting for that kind of offensive balance and execution for a long time.

The fake FG was dumb though.

Look, there is a difference in taking smart, calculated risks, and really stupid ones that have no chance of working.
For example, going for a fake FG on 4th and 2 or 3, when you see that the safeties are playing back, versus going for a fake FG on 4th and 12 when the defense is actually looking for the fake. The kicker had no chance in hell of running for 12 yards there. When they saw the safeties playing up, they should have called the fake off.

And attempting the 54-yarder on 4th and 4 instead of either going for it, or punting and backing them up was absurd and indefensible.

That onside kick was a great call. The ball took the goofiest bounce it could have taken or that is LSU football.

I don't even question the fake field goal as much as I do taking the ball out of Mett's hands on that 3rd down towards the end of the game. It's like we conceded them the ball and put it in our defenses hands instead of just going for the kill. If we throw for that one and miss it so be it, but at least attempt to get the first down or at least pick up more yards to shorten the field goal attempt.
