LSU had 8-10 starters out and miles still almost beat saban

I think LSU began the game with 8 starters out and finished with 10. Yet, LSU still almost won, amazing!

I hate almost as well.

But be real. LSU had half the second string all year and this Bama team "is the greatest ever.".

The point is that even though we had all these starters out, somehow Miles still coaches the players up to near victory.

So you expect 14 - 0 with a SEC & National Championship every year? If you do, that's impossible to achieve. If you're a realist, then there will probably be one or a couple of almosts every year.

The difference between great teams and decent teams is the great teams don't really have to use the "almost" word.
