Talk about the advantages we have scheming for the Bama O compared to 1/9

I'll start off by saying this. On 1/9, McCarron was for the first time put in true control of the Bama offense. We had no film or charts to study tendencies with them being much more of a passing team.

Including that game, we now have 9 games of film to study with their refurbished offense. Being they didn't have a bye week, it's highly unlikely they will do a complete offensive makeover for this game.

McCarron is athletic, yes, but not really a running threat. They make a living off of play action with either deep routes, or back shoulder passes (which McCarron is excellent at).

How will this play into the chiefs hand tommorow night? I think we can hold Bama under 20.

Interior Dline will dominate. Jones and Warmack can't handle Logan and Freak.

The problem last year wasn't scheming for their O, but for their D.

I don't think they are nearly as wide open on offense as A&M really, sure they have better RBs but we wont allow much rushing. Our secondary is very underrated and will buy the DL time with excellent coverage and be able to pressure Mccarron into some mistakes.

I've watched them several times this year and what I notice that Nussmeier likes to do is simple yet effective. If defense loads the box and/or goes to press coverage they throw go routes or drags nearly every time. They will do this until teams back off. That's when the pounding starts.
Although we have 2 frosh back there, I'm interested to see if Bama has the same success against LSU as they have with every opponent they've played thus far. I personally don't think so. I wonder how and if they can adjust.

That's just sound offensive football, read the box and let the numbers dictate run or pass.
We need to change our coverages a lot and Chief may have to blitz a little more than normal to try and force some mistakes.

Damn. It's as bad for our offense as I first thought.
