After watching several Alabama games, Mccarron has looked extremely calm standing in the pocket and delivering accurate passes to his receiver -- with excellent pash rush protection. I don't think alabama will be able to run the ball consistently on us. So I think the key to the game is pressuring mccarron causing sacks, ints or at least have him throwing under duress. Sam Montgomery is a superstar no doubt but has been known to not show up for lesser opponents but when the big lights come on he's been an unstoppable force. With the excitement and energy of this hometown crowd, you have to believe that Sam will make it happen this game making two sacs and forcing MC to run for his life. If our defense can keep this game close, we'll find a way to win. What are your keys to the game? No we'll lose by 50 responses needed.

The key is to get early pressure, once the crowd gets into it, while Bama has the ball.

Mingo will be the key on the defensive side.

I really feel like the key to winning this game is Mett's QB play/the inclusion of a vertical passing game.

I concur. McCarron is dinged up (knee/shoulder), and if Sonic Sam can get him on the ground a couple times, I think the game could change drastically.

Actually I disagree. In the NC game Bama used almost nothing but short passes to the flats an only every once in awhile going downfield. Those type of passes neutralize a pass rush. Our secondary/linebackers are going to be key in stopping those.

If we don't get pressure on AJ, we have no shot at winning this game. That would mean that he has all day to sit back there and pick us apart. He won't be looking to sit back there for that long so the ball will be coming out very quickly.

Exactly, Guava. This and the ability to stop Bama's run game without over committing our safeties.
