takes away from the complete LSU experience on game days? Disclaimer:I am not saying that people who don't or didn't go to LSU can't be just as big of a fan as an alumni.Basically, if you would have got a degree from LSU would your feelings towards LSU be different?

Bad timing on this thread. This is usually a off-season topic.

Just going by when i was a kid/in high school I would say no.

But being an alum adds a lot because the memories you have around campus. It makes the team and the game mean more for sure. You feel like they are out there playing for you.

Sorry it's not an off season thread. A guy a work with is an LSU maniac. I love all LSU sports but it is like this dude worships the tigers. He could care less he was and will never be a student. Just had me thinking what this dude would be like if he was an alumni.

No. It is a family thing. I went elsewhere to pursue my mediocre baseball skills, but every family member bur like 2 went to LSU. Both grandparents coaches there too (baseball and football).

You grow up in BR, you are likely going to be a big LSU fan even if you end up at another school.

I have two degrees from LSU and my wife has none. She's a much better fan than I am. She always enjoys her tigers to the max! You'll never find a greater fan than she is.

Nope not at all.

Out of State tuition was the only thing that kept me out.

I bet the wife and I spend more time in Louisiana fishing, crabbing, and going to games than some grads. Lots of purple and gold here and not ashamed at all that we didn't attend.

The stars didn't align for us to go there. Does not mean its not in the heart.

Towards the university -- yes, it goes without saying.
Towards the athletic programs -- heck no.

There are many of us who haven't been to a single class at our state university but believe me we still bleed purple and gold.
