Staying at the Canyon Plaza Resort in the state park's south rim. I am getting super pumped up to use my new winter coat(lows in the low teens) but mainly wanted to see if there are any off the beaten path trails, look outs in the area. We are already planning on making a 2 hour drive to Page, AZ to a lookout called the horseshoe Bend(Pic below).

Any other places would be greatly appreciated and I am looking forward to FINALLY having some good material for the outdoor board photography thread upon return!

TIA!

have fun on your trip, I have always wanted to head out that way. Report back on the things that you did.

It's a jacket I got a great deal on that I will probably never be able to wear here in LA.

Good distance from Page, AZ, but Supai, AZ was well worth the hike. Long hike down to the indian tribe and waterfalls, but great views.

That place looks awesome. Looks to be about 2 hours west of where we are staying. Will look into it. Thanks

Not familiar with that brand, looks like you'll be warm though and you'll have a ski coat if you ever go.

North Rim is more remote, more of a wilderness experience, but it's a long drive and may be snowed in by now.

The road we could take to get to the North Rim from where we are at has already closed for the season.

Les than 24 hours from now we will be there

It is beautiful out here. We found a small brewery in Sedona that I wish we could have stayed at longer.

The forestry department is having a control burn 200 miles north of us and the smoke has settled into the canyon. It dampers the view( photography wise) but this place is something else and pictures do not do it justice.

Helicopter tour scheduled for tomorrow. Videos will be posted.
