Dont get me wrong I love my HORNETS and we have a better future than the Chris Paul era, but this attendance is pathetic. I watched the game and it looked like a preseason effort vs the Bobcats. Why are so many new fans not showing up at the arena? BTW I am working out of state so I could BARELY give away my FREE season tickets for tonights game. I love this team and our future....GEAAAUX Hornets but damn what a disappointment attendance for opening night.

Um because it was the spurs... on a Wednesday... on Halloween night (people are trick or treating with kids)

If they play and score like they did tonight they will come.

4 time champ in the last decade and the Hornets biggest rival. Not an excuse and people have NO problem filling up the stands for a shitty arse Saints team. (no disrespect towards Drew Brees cause he is still the best)

Also its football season. Wait until January. If we are playing well, the arena will be a packed house

Many inaccuracies with a hint of facts to throw off the hounds.

Not working.

Sell it elsewhere, or go stalk some more.

Like it or hate it, it's realistic. Excuse or not, it is what it is. Take a chill pill and give it time. It'll pick up.

Odd quotes in there.

The football thing is a myth. Day of the week is a big driver of attendance, as is current performance, opponents' performance, last year's performance, and star power.

Precisely. Saints have an established following. I get it, the Hornets are trying to bring back in fly-by fans who were lost during the CP3 fiasco and our losing season last year. Thus, with the infusion of youth and energy that was our offseason, we would all love to see that translate to higher attendance and a bigger following. But, its going to take some time.

Win games, fill seats. It's that simple. The team proves itself, it sells tickets.

I don't understand why this is a debatable concept. I've seen this post over and over with teams across different sports...the answer is always the same.

A franchise has to win something to fill seats.

If the saints played 41 home games per season, probably.

I'm with you on this one man. I'm a college student, so I can't afford to make many games, but I did make an effort to be there for the team tonight, and I was sadly disappointed at the turnout. Come on guys, if not now, then WHEN??!!

This is a classic example of why small market NBA teams stand no chance. No hate to the locals, but its a football town. I wish I could disagree with myself, but its reality
