I have a good feeling about this Saturday, however I don't think LSU make the NC. I think two of three undefeated teams will win out.

Sugar Bowl here we come!!!

We control our own destiny in the SEC... For now that's all Im looking for. I hope the BCS comes our way, but there is nothing we can do about that right now.

We will have beaten alot of top teams if that were to play out...Our computer score could be the difference...Lets just win this W/e, its even a larger hurdle than the BCS IMO.

We can't control what everyone else does, we can only control what we do. If that happens, it will still be a great season, the circumstances just didn't fall our way this time, like they did so many other times.

Yup, and it will be exactly what college football wants. It'll justify the 4 team playoff change.
Imagine 3 undefeateds and 1 loss sec champ.
2 teams get screwed.

I am not so sure we wouldn't get in with a win. Despite all the pollsters wanting nothing more than a non-SEC team in, they love them some Bama. If the Tigers knock off Bama, hard to believe they won't give us credit for a deceivingly rough schedule. Also take into account, Notre Dame and Kansas State only play 12 games, LSU's extra game could always boost them in. But lets not look ahead and take this one game at a time, still a lot of football left.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has thought of this.

Yea, I wrote papers on the 2003 season. Guess which teams had an extra game and which one didn't? I know all 3 records were the same but you never know. And I do agree, I think this week is a bigger challenge than slipping into the title.

If LSU wins out, we go to the BCSNC...no question. Someone other than a one loss SEC champ will be left out.

crazier things have happened with the BCS (remember 2007), we just have to win out and let the rest of the chips fall where they may...

as much as it pains me to pull for USCw, i am!!!!

Wrong. If LSU wins out that might be the case, Bama wouldn't have the SOS if they drop one. But if Kstate and Oregon win out, the extra game does us no good, they also play one now.

the country has SEC fatigue, I don't see any way a 1 loss SEC champion gets in over an undefeated k-state, oregon, or notre dame. It's all hypothetical though because I expect Kstate and ND to drop a game before it's all said and done

I am assuming you are saying ND loses to USC which I really see as doubtful, but who in the world are you thinking KState loses to?

They have oklahoma state, @ TCU, @ baylor, texas

It just seems like the team that pulls ahead in the big 12 always manages to drop a game they aren't supposed to

There is a good chance that would happen. I don't know how people that know football could leave a one lose SEC champion out of the championship game, but I bet they do it.

If we win out and win back to back SEC titles, I would be very satisfied. Especially with the CFB champion basically based on a popularity contest, not always results on the field.

Now, yes, I would be disappointed that as 1 loss SEC champs we were denied the chance to play for the title, but would be very happy about being 12-1 repeat SEC champs. Likely would finish 2 in final polls with Sugar Bowl win

Although I could easily some on this board wanting to fire Miles because he could ONLY win the SEC championship and not the MNC

Oklahoma State will be tough. I give the edge to Kansas St though being that it's at home.

However, I'm calling it now Kansas St WILL lose to TCU.

Kan St is a good football team but they're just another 'product of the system.' We see this every year. They will stumble; just like Ok St did last year, which imo were better than this Kan St team

Without Paschal? I find it hard to believe. Nonetheless I hope I am wrong.
