key to the game -- too easy

too simple..given defense,running game, and ST play will be as expected. the difference is always the passing game. One look stat = if Mett passes for 200+ we will win. If he does, it means that we are balanced and effective in the passing game.

If Mett throws for 200 and we ran for 200 it is balanced. If the reason Mett throws for 200 is because we ran for -10 how does that translate to winning.
Like someone in another thread said, we throw for 97 we lose. Not if it is because we ran for 250 and didn't need to throw, we win.

IMHO..
a)Hold Bama to 17 pts...and not be a 17 / 0 score..as that will put too much pressure to PASS the ball...must be "walked" score by score
b)Defense must score 7 pts.
c) we have a really good shot at winning

Or Special Teams. I have a feeling we'll get a TD off of either a KO or Punt return. Combine that with strong defensive effort and LSU wins the game. Period.

The real key to this game will not be letting them get out in front like MSU did. They get more than 10 up at any point and we are probably looking at an L.
If we can put up an early 7, however we do it, game on.

I said this earlier, it wont be the number of passes or yards Mett throws for that will be the difference. It will be the key ones he makes, the 3rd downs we need, hitting the wide open receiver, it will be how many of the ones that we really need that will be the difference.

This is the Key. We don't need a 250 yard passing game. If he hits key plays to keep drives going and a few deep balls LSU can certainly win this thing. Damn I hate Bama.

A balanced offense, great defense with turnovers and solid special teams play will win this game for LSU.
Bama is not taking this game seriously based on the results of 1/9.
