I wouldnt trade him for any other RB in the nation

he's missed two games for injury but still putting up great numbers

126 carries, 930 yds, 7.4 avg, 10 TDs
32 catches, 319 yds, 3 TDs

214 avg all purpose yards

also has returned two punt returns to the house

including yesterday's game winner and SC #1 play

for all you haters- bump to add

Stewart Mandel says Gio is most uverlooked Heisman candidate

"But the No. 1 guy in this overlooked category has to be North Carolina running back Gio Bernard. He's No. 3 in the country in rushing (132.9 yards per game), No. 1 in punt returns (20.8 yards per return, including last week's game-winning touchdown against NC State) and yet I've barely heard a peep about him."

I wonder why. Even for the ACC...North Carolina has one shite-arse schedule.

If you already play Duke, Wake Forest and Virginia...you shouldn't be scheduling Elon, East Carolina and Idaho.

Bernard is the best RB in the nation, and I really don't even think it's mildly debatable. What he's done while missing two games is just insane. He is a freak in Fedora's offense.

Agree but Heisman talk is Lulz.

Actually Barner from Oregon is better so I don't agree with that either..

for those of us in ACC country who have to suffer through those wretched 12:00 matchups involving all the crappy teams from the state of Nort Carolina we know that Bernard is legit. Almost a Felix Jones clone
