Basically i want to sell a Ruger 9mm and buy a SIg compact .45

What would be the best place or way to sell the Ruger, and the best..ie..cheapest way to buy a Sig? other suggestions besides a SIg .45 compact are welcome.

Bayou shooter classifieds is pretty good to buy, but not so much to sell. Prices are low there, you won't get top dollar.

Louisiana sportsman is a good place to sell.

What model is the ruger and how much are you asking?

It's a P95 stainless. In good condition. It was stolen from me and 3 years later turned up it was used in a street shooting. Boy did I freak when the gun dealer called me and told me that. Someone good a load of Carbon tips in his arse. It took em three years to try the case then I spent another two getting it released form the police locker , so I got a sentimental attachment to it;) But it;s got that damn safety, and Im in love with my Sig 226. Don't worry about if the safety is on or off in a panic situation. Same reason I gave my .45 Colt Commanders special to a friend for safe keeping. I was cross training on three different weapon systems and use them so little when I do pick one up I can't freaking remember if the safety is on or off. That could be a life or death mistake. Had the Ruger out tonight and realized it had a 50/50 chance of racking right and getting the safety the right way when I need it to be 100% positive before I killed or got killed. Screw that.
I'm pretty much going SIg .45 no matter what.

Thing is I got no idea what i want for the Ruger. But I know it's going to be top dollar, whatever top dollar is. So offer me that and it's yours tomorrow. Plus I got the paperwork to verify the street shooting. ;0

Unfortunately the P95 is a pretty old design so you MAY get $300 tops. It's a great gun, but designs have surpassed it in recent years.

Do you have your heart set on a Sig .45 or have you not done much looking? There are tons of great .45s out there.

If it's a Sig 1911, it'll make King Ranch very happy, haha.

I'd try bayoushooter with a trade plus cash ad.

I had a Sig P250 .45 Full size then went to the compact BOTH were awesome weapons, I gave the compact to my son and I now carry a Glock G30 with Lasermax Guiderod. The reason for this is accessories are more available and the G30 is a little smaller.
