Not gonna post insider, but I'll give you the relevant info. So great to be on this list.

quote:

3. Ryan Anderson, New Orleans Hornets (13.8 projected WARP)

Anderson
Anderson's numbers have been tethered to Howard, and because of that, his projection is exaggerated. Still, in many ways Anderson has come to typify what coaches seek in a modern-day 4: 3-point shooting and defensive rebounding. However, it's left to be seen whether Anderson can do what he did in Orlando without Howard. Or was it that Anderson opened up the lane for Howard?

quote:

7. Anthony Davis, New Orleans Hornets (10.9 projected WARP)

Davis
We may not have seen an impact defender with more upside on the other end of the floor since Tim Duncan. We have to remind ourselves that not only is Davis entering what once would have been his sophomore year in college, but he's just three years removed from being a 6-foot-2 guard. Davis is now a power forward on paper, but it will be fascinating to see how his position evolves as Hornets coach Monty Williams learns to fit players around him.

Feels good man.

Anderson is gonna have a great year. When gordon goes out for his injuries, Anderson will score big.

hope anderson and davis are both starting soon at PF and C

RA will have a big year regardless, and benefit greatly from Gordon STAYING healthy this year.

Actually, I think it will be the opposite. Gordon, much like Howard, will require most of the attention of opposing defenses, leaving Anderson more space to get open shots. If Gordon goes down then Anderson is the only big scoring threat left and they will be able to key in on him. He will produce great numbers regardless, but Gordon's presence will probably be a factor.

Also, to the OP, can you quote from the article what this WARP number is?

i'm not saying Anderson isn't gonna score well with Gordon on the court...I just think his averages will go up when Gordon is out, because someone is gonna have to score, and he's the only guy that can.

i agree with this...more points, lower FG% if Gordon is out, imo

Ball movement was worlds better when these two were on the floor at the same time. Now, we just need Mr. Gordon to come on down.

I think he's the advanced stats guy that said the player Anderson's most statistically similar to at this point of his career was Dirk.

Especially with Miller on the court with them.

Exactly, that unit has everything we need. A penetrator, knock-down shooters, and an inside presence to clean things up.

I know it's only preseason, but Anderson has been showing he can get those shots off without Howard.

Like everyone else, I think he will get plenty of open shots with Gordon on the wing, and AD down low. All he has to do is spot up in the corner and wait for the ball to hit his hands and let it fly.

After the article about him battling AFA for the starting 3 spot, I just thought of it as AFA sucking balls rather than Miller stepping up. But after seeing Miller in the last preseason games, he looks like he has improved tremendously from summer league. My expectations aren't too high from a 2nd round rookie, but as long as he can play some D, hit the open shot wit ha decent percentage, he'll fit in very well.

He was hampered by a hamstring injury, supposedly.

I'll be ecstatic if this continues from the preseason. The odds are against you with 2nd round pics and but getting a starting 3 or 6/7th man is great.

The thing that's most impressed me with DM is that he's not intimidated. He WANT the ball, he WANTS those big time shots.

And he doesn't turn the ball over. We need more of those players on the court for this team *glances over toward the backcourt*
