well not defending TM7, actually think he is crazy to throw away all that he had just to blow some weed. But that being said, it is just weed. I would guess large percentage of Lsu student body has used weed at some point in their lives. If they were on the west coast they would get a ticket for it or maybe nothing at all since it is so commonly openly used. I wonder about the BR police department, they make that many bust for weed possesion. If they do then no wonder our prisons are overcrowed.

It's not just an athlete problem.
LSU Police arrests a lot more students for marijuana use than you realize. If I had a kid headed to college that would be my number one worry even in the dorms.

While I agree it should not be illegal, it is. Plain and simple. And until the day it is made legal, you will suffer the consequences of having it on your person.
There are no excuses for what happened yesterday. He fully understood the consequences and chose to ignore them.
Also hypothetically, even when/if weed is made legal, I'm sure athletic departments across the country will still test and ban it. I know I can legally drink, but if I showed up to work drunk I can get fired.
