When selling a used boat....

By law what does the seller have to disclose?

Sell it "as-is" and you shouldn't have to worry about unless the buyer asks a specific question about that condition.
However, if the boat has some issues, it is probably best to lay it all out there so some redneck doesn't come back on you with a shotgun.
for big boat$, a survey should be done--sort of like a home inspection.

How about "any material fact known by you." If you conceal any material fact, that can be considered fraud, which can cost you a lot of money. In Louisiana, fraud is defined as follows:
"Fraud is a misrepresentation or a suppression of the truth made with the intention either to obtain an unjust advantage for one party or to cause a loss or inconvenience to the other. Fraud may result from silence or inaction."
