Let me start out by saying I've never been one of those fire Miles guys. I know he has his inefficiencies but I want him here until he stops winning.
To the point... I've started wondering why LSU has become really conservative on offense. I know he let Mett throw 29 times yesterday, but I think Miles still plays for field goals and if we happen to score a touchdown then great.
I like the philosophy of playing great defense and good special teams. I started to think that it was 2008 when Lee had all those pick 6s as being the reason why we became so conservative. I mean, we really haven't done much on offense since then. In our good 2010 and 2011 season we won 24 games mostly because of defense. I still felt in 2010 we took more shots.
I look at the 11-5-11 as the point where we really took the conservative route on offense until now. Our starting qb goes in on one of the best seasons ever and just forgets how to play football. We outplay Alabama and win the game 9-6. It was probably the greatest regular season win in the history of our program. Miles get the idea in his head that its easier to beat a team 9-6 than to get in a scoring contest with them. I think we're very close to being possibly the best program in CFB. I think Miles realizes this already. We tried to sling it around some yesterday. I do think Miles gets rid of Stud after this year. The absolute only reason we lost to Florida is because we got conservative and couldn't sustain drives. Tell me what you think about both the oc position and when you think we got conservative.

I agree with OC, he needs to go after this year. And a big reason on being so conservative on passing the ball plays a big role with our depth at the RB position.

If we go a third straight game without scoring a td vs bama, this place will be a jungle

So true.
I reallllllly hope we win with at least a touchdown.
I do think that this game will be more like 2010, though. More scoring, less shutout.
