In contemporary college football, which coaching philosophy works best?

much of it depends on who you can recruit.

if you can recruit like bama and LSU then defense, running game, competent passing game wins NC's.

if you can't get that caliber of talent you may have to stretch the field more and spread it out.


also a running/mobile QB is college is a big advantage b/c defenses usually have trouble with it. not so much in the pros though.

the Saban and Spurrier approach. Break em all the way down (mentally) and then build em back up.

and both showed that shite doesn't work in the pros but in college it does.
