I fished Lake P with Cap't Dumas today. We had a blast and caught a boat load of fish.

Do people eat sting rays? Just curious, never have caught one. I am waiting on the trout.

They are good if you cook them right.

We ended up with 20 specks yesterday. No socks at the twin span, but we did catch them in a few cuts in Lake Borne. We caught a boat load of reds and drum before the specks.

This is crucial. And they gotta be fresh, the rays and the onions.

Yep...

No trout on the bridge yet, and we didn't have time to run to Lake Borgne or Rigolets to check other spots. I know there are loads of white trout in Lake Catherine right now.

I see you said trout are biting in Lake Catherine but you didnt post anything about catching any? Not bashing just curious because going to the lake this weekend and wondering where the trout bite is?

the OB will lead you in the right direction but we wont hold your hand. All reports I have got are the trout havent made it into Lake P just yet. Stay south of the lake and you should find them
