After the option call last week, It pretty much confirmed my opinion of the offensive scheme. Does anyone believe that Mett can successfully run the option and this play should be used in the scheme?

I don't even know that you can call it an option, it looks more like a designed toss play, I seriously doubt he ever thinks about keeping it. Although, to be fair, I have seen Jarrett Lee keep it and pick up a first down

No, and if we start using him on the option it's either desperation or stupidity

That play confirmed for me that our offensive coordinator does not know what he is doing. I suspected it after the national championship game and unfortunately it was confirmed this past Saturday.

Coach Miles needs to start searching for a new one

Mett actually runs the option better than Jefferson did in his early days.

However, he lacks the speed to be an effective option QB.

We ran that play twice all year. It's basically just to get the RB on the edge

ETA: The option should not be in the game day playbook at all unless Shep is running it.
