I just finished watching the Coach Miles TV show. In watching Florida run down the field in the 2nd half, why is it that Ronald Martin is always at safety when the defense gives up a score? He always seems to be out of position. Against Fla on both touchdowns, he was almost playing linebacker (instead of safety) and was in the wrong hole both times. Has anyone else noticed this? Any least Loston seems to be lined up correctly. Thoughts or is it just my imagination?

It's just your imagination. We don't have a player named "Roland".

To answer the dumbass OP, Ronald Martin has played very well this year. Loston has always been a very high risk high reward guy, he lays the wood more than making the tackle. Martin is the opposite of what your describing, and thus is higher on the chart.

Yea because defensive coordinators NEVER bring a safety in the box to help with the run or anything

You do bring in a safety into the box to support the run, but the safety has to read the alignment of the offense and be in the right position to effect the play. Ronald Martin is hardly ever in the correct position - especially inside the red zone. Maybe we chalk it up to inexperience, but with Loston in run support it doesn't appear to happen as much. Just my opinion. Going back to the Idaho game where he had 2 interceptions, he was out of position on both touchdowns given up in that game as well.

The Idaho td was on Simon. You must be related to another safety on the team or something

Idaho scored twice. I know that Miles said one of those was on Simon, but Martin was out of position.

I'm not related to anyone on the LSU team.
