LINK

obviously, you'll have to press the 'Next' link at the bottom to go forward.

I really can't see Emily Blunt as Black Widow, or Sean Connery as Gandalf or Morpheus.

I thought Mark was made to play that role. I just don't see Leo as Dirk.

I wouldn't call the lead in Avatar or Black Widow "legendary roles." Some will agree and add others, some (including the author) will disagree.

Do not agree. Not even a little.

I'll add this..

John Wayne turned down the role of Marshal Matt Dillon for fear of being type cast as a cowboy.

ehh, i could easily see damon as jake Sully in Avatar.

I think Depp would have been a good ferris bueller considering he was still young at that point, lol.

I think Tom Selek as Indy would have been an abortion. Indy can't have a stache.

A stacheless Selleck could have easily been a good Indy.

Tom Selleck as Indiana Jones would have been good. I've seen his screen tests for the role and he, as well as Sean Young (who would have played Marion), did a fantastic job.

It’s possible that Indiana Jones could’ve been Ford’s only iconic movie role too, if Burt Reynolds hadn’t turned down the opportunity to play Han Solo in ‘Star Wars.’ Al Pacino, Nick Nolte and Christopher Walken were all considered for the role, but it finally went to self-taught carpenter and galactic anti-hero, Ford. Can you imagine Christopher Walken asking Chewie to make the jump to light speed?

Didn't SNL already do this with Kevin Spacey?

Charles Bronson - A Fist Full of Dollars

(Thank you. Signed, Clint Eastwood)

ETA: Not sure if this is considered "legendary" in the board's opinion. But it sure did launch his career.
