Do you leave yours on the whole time you are in the stand? Push it almost all the way in and then "try to remember to push it the rest of the way" when you see a deer? Or what

I thought there was a magnet you put somewhere that turns it on?

Eta: as it leaves the bow when you release it

I just thought I remember somebody telling me that. I never looked at them really.

Mine light when they come off the string. No magnet. No pushing them in.

To turn off there is a little hole to stick your knife point in to pop it out.

I always thought they turned on when you shot them.

Get you a Nocturnal. It is set off by the force of the string when you release. You turn if off by a button on the nock itself. I put one to the test this weekend.
