Do you still have to do research that you can't do online? Do you still have to check out books? Inquiring minds want to know.

I actually still use the books. I know im a very small minority though. I hate pdfs and e-stuff especially when it comes to reading

Thought about this today. All of our research had to be done via actual books. Even when the internet came around, they didn't allow internet sources for years.
Spent so much time in the school library it was ridiculous.

I use it for a quiet study area. They have tables set up and I can buy coffee right outside at the caffe.

I just use it when I'm between classes and can't go home.
Most people use it to get in the right state of mind, though. Psychological deal, IMO. I operate different, though.

I was in a master's library science program BRIEFLY.
I knew I was in trouble when I wound up completing all of my research papers online.

I use it for a quiet area with no distractions. never check books out of the LSU library. Don't really need to for my degree however.

The research I did was all in scientific journals but I used online databases we could access for free through LSU to find the articles. Never checked out a book.
