Its' never been about losing a game. It's about HOW we lose a game. There is no explanation for Jan 9. There is no explanation for lack of a realistic game plan against UF or any other of the games this year so far. The lack of coaching is the scary/disappointing part.

This. For all those who keep saying it is not the coaching, it is the lack of player execution, That Is Coaching!!!

We pay them millions to teach the players to execute, if they can't they are NOT coaching. If they are recruiting guys who are not as good as advertised that is on the coaches.

I believe we have more talent than nearly every team in college football but we are not utilizing it right now. That is on the coaches. We are recruiting well so it comes down to the coaches not doing their jobs.

How can anyone who has watched LSU this year think they are a championship caliber team? Maybe if you're watching reruns of the Washington game or last year's games but certainly not this year. This is a lifeless team right now with very little on field leadership.

I hate it for LSU but denying reality won't win us any games; in fact it will lose us more down the road. I would love to be wrong and LSU win out this year but realistically we lose to South Carolina, A&M, Alabama and Arkansas.

We have been sold a bill of goods. Our talent is not even the best in the south.

I like to come to the board after a loss, just to read the meltdown posts. They make me laugh, and cheer me up after a loss.

I'm sure there are many lurkers like me who do this after a loss and never post.

If Beckham's catch is fumbled out of bounds, then we most likely win the game. Everyone would be completely different right now.

Not everyone. There is still that little knot of self appointed experts that demands that LSU score every possession and denies the opponent any yardage.
But a loss is much much funnier. It really brings out the lunatic fringe.

Shame on us haters. I mean after all the redzone TD's we've scored the last 3 games totally supports your what if

It's very obvious that the Beckham fumble was the turning point in the game. LSU was about to have insane momentum, and the field position would have changed. Instead, the momentum completely shifted, and Florida was able to move the ball for the first time in the game.

I know our offense has been lousy, but do you honestly believe that Florida would definitely have won the game if Beckham held onto the ball? I think we both know the answer.

The answer is he fumbled.

You mean like the fumble recovered by Mingo at Florida's 7 yard line

You're right! USC, Texas, Oklahoma, Oregon, Florida, Alabama, Florida St. and Georgia. Don't have any talent compared to us. Plus we are the only school with a multi-million dollar coaching staff and we have the easiest conference in college football. So we should never lose and dominate every play.

Everyone sees the same problems. But reasonable people aren't ready to throw the baby out with the bathwater. You can't just ignore what Miles and the coaching staff have done in the past just because things aren't going according to plan right now. If this year continues on this path, we reload and try again next year. No team can get to a national championship every year.

And no fan base is entitled to 10 win seasons, BCS Bowls or national championships. Most other college football fanbases would kill to have enjoyed the success that LSU has had in the past 6 years.

I don't know of a coach that can replace Miles, recruit just as well as him, and gameplan better. If anyone else knows that coach, point him out.

You don't have to answer if you don't want to. I'm not trying to speculate, only trying to make the point that if things had gone a little differently in the game, the board would not be in total meltdown.

I'm sure losing 5 fricking starters since the start of fall practice at any level would alter that course.

1. Not all 5 are on offense.
2. The problems on O have little to with the injuries.

Take your "smash" route horseshite elsewhere. It's not about one play call. You're not impressing anyone.

Agree. Sounds pretty reasonable (and also realistic) to me.

I think the same people who have been complaining about the offense for the past few games/past few years are the same people losing their shite now. It's not like we won the two previous games looking great on offense. What do you expect out of our spoiled fanbase? To emjoy watching games with no offense from our Tigers?

That's fine. I grew up in BR, born and raised. I know how passionate the LSU fanbase in BR is. My uncle from California was visiting BR the night that LSU lost to UAB and people wanted to run Saban out of town. I was one of them, and he was just laughing at the radio calls. I didn't get why he was laughing until I moved out of Louisiana and gained a little perspective.

There's a lot of BAD football teams out here in the rest of the country. Hell USC was down for a lot of the 90s and they have every competitive advantage a team can have in college football. If people don't think it can't get back to the Curley Hallman days they better think again before they ruin a good thing with Les Miles in BR.

There's a lot of powerful boosters that ran successful coaches out of their programs because they got impatient, and those teams still have yet to recover.

I agree with that. Hopefully, this will be a wake up call for the team (coaches) and not just the fans. Although, the loss was not a wake up for most of the board, since people have been complaining for quite some time.

batlcat: You quoted me correctly but didn't understand. I said "more talent than nearly every team" and that is true. I didn't say we have the most but there aren't many that have more than us. Talent is not our problem.

Anyway it's just a game.
