Sort of like promoting coaches from within to coordinator positions? At least his last frick up only lasted 1 season...this is going on 2 seasons. How many hires does he need to go through before he gets it right?

So you'd rather be Texas tech always ranked in the top 10 in offense but a shitty record?

Our record is top 5 in the country since miles took over. Mediocrity sure sucks huh?

I wounded what all the sunshine limpets are going to say on Thursday and Friday.

LM can credit the success of the last 4 years to John Chavis. Truth. When Gary Crowton came in he had players that could handle his semi complex offense because they went threw Jimbo Fischer and the offense wasn't that bad. But when you promote within and make bone head hires that look promising but then turn out to be mistakes you look really dumb. Plus development will go barreling down hill.

All I can say is that Les Miles probably kneels down before he goes to bed and thanks God for John Chavis. Much like Phillip Phulmer did in his tenur.

Ohhhh. My bad. I thought it was about winning games and finishing ranked highly according to your w's and l's. I never knew it was about offensive output alone. You is smart. You is kind. You is important.

Why do you people in denial take 1 little criticism and go all or nothing with it? Did he say he wanted LSU to be all offense and no defense?

Why do people think that because we want a decent offense we don't want to win games?

I keep hearing things like "so you'd rather score a bunch of points instead of win games?" Such simplistic thinking and bull shite.

I want Les to keep his fingers out of the offense and hire a good OC and let him run a decent offense. Because it is clear Les cannot do it. I want a good offense because it helps us win games. LSU is no longer fun to watch anymore. Why is that so hard for some to understand?

Offensive scheme is a joke

30 wins in 2.5 years is so bad.

It's because they're foaming at the mouth to shoot down any criticism of their God, Les Miles. They have worked themselves up into a frenzy to be completely unreasonable about any criticism. They hear everything as though it's an absolute criticism, all or nothing.

Not true. If it were you wouldn't care what the offense did as long as LSU wins.

Because LSU doesn't run a Texas Tech offense? Yeah all those passes and trick plays have won them what? How many conference championships? How many championships has Mike Leach won?

You are bitching because the LSU offense isn't what YOU want? Right? Pretty damn selfish of you isn't it? The program exists to satisfy YOU?
WOW!!

You pretty much hit the nail on the head. No adjustments he has never been good at reacting to what the other team shows us.

"But we're 5-1 and #9 in the country!"

This was our first real game.

I hope we rebound because there is no reason for this team not to be in the mix, but from a realistic standpoint, I don't expect anything to change. The riverboat gambler is gone. What we have now is a guy that can't adjust on the fly.

The guy that made the turtle analogy completely nailed it. Les comes out with a plan and if it doesn't work, he just keeps doing it waiting for a miracle.

Last night he showed he is too dependabt on Chavis. Despite the bad field position in the first half, the old riverboat gambler wouldn't have packed it in on 3rd down over and over, right? You can't turn around bad field position without getting a first down or two. He just kept packing it in on 3rd down and leaving it to someone to force a turn over. When we did, we couldn't convert it due to mongoloid play calling.

Seriously, I know football but I'd never claim that I could put on a headset and do his job, but this dude does stupid shite and does it over and over again.

I'd like for these coaches to quit wasting talent before recruits start seeing LSU as a dead end.

Are you sure you're addressing this to the proper side of the debate here? If so, you should really go back and read some of the posts. The vile, bitterness, and hate has been knee deep around here toward LM. The way some become almost giddy with anger is both comical and sad at the same time. It's like some cant type fast enough when LSU hits a rare rough spot under Miles. They so want to express their seemingly personal hated for him. It makes me ashamed to be a Tiger fan at times.

I thought it was funny when he was asked pregame how Mett was going to perform in a big game environment and break out, and Les pretty much starts talking about the weather

I'm telling people. Look at Meyer in 2010 after Saban destroyed him and UF in the SEC CG. He simply couldn't shake it and was basically effed up in the head after that. I think Les is in the same boat. Simply got outcoached so badly that he's comatose in some ways.

Meyer didn't adjust to having a QB that fit his offense with Brantley in 2009 and it bit them in the arse and they looked lost on offense for most of the season.

I hope I am wrong, but that's how it seems to me.

Well the thing I was talking with my father about last night is that you can know football as a fan (which would be a kindergarten level compared to the coaches). But even at that, you could see the problems.

It's not like you have to be an expert at it to see the problems. And like you said, they are the same problems with just a different cast of characters.

Again, all defenders of this mess are always all or nothing. It's about getting the best out of your players. If you think this is happening under Miles on offense you are insane.
