Hate to tell you but I have seen him play, he is a stud but the whispers have already started about LSU and the lack of offense. The vultures are circling and performances like yesterday do not help. I have gone to 2 games the last one Friday night with my LSU gear and more than one person hit me up about Towson St. We better open up the play book or we could lose him. METT was suppose to be the answer and so far we still look the same.

Kid has to look at LSU, and think he could see the field early. His current O-line in high school isn't that good, so I think he's very adept at getting the ball out quickly. Glad we are recruiting multiple guys, though.

Sure, we expect the vultures to be circling, but LSU should still be in good shape with him.

Also I did not realize his brother is the starting QB at Boston College--even with the way the LSU offense looks, he should still look forward to playing at a much more prestigious program in a much tougher conference than his brother.

His brother was not recruited locally by Nueheisel. UCLA is all over him as well as many other schools. And I think this was the same thoughts we had last year about METT. Same excuses about offense and play calling yet it gets no better. This will go down to the wire. Say what you want but I live out here and have had conversations with people at his games. This is not a done deal. Too talented to hand off and throw 10 yard outs for 4 years.

I am not surprised to hear that Rettig hasn't made a final & firm decision on his college future. If he continues to have such an outstanding season, he could be elevated to 5-Star status & get additional offers.

To SOCAL & other Tiger fans in Southern California: Do you think there is any chance he may also consider following his brother to Boston College & who are other schools that could enter the picture, maybe UCLA?

He has the arm talent, and the decision quickness.

How is his mobility? I watched his first game on Youtube and seemed like he scrambled adequately.

I thought watching Mett in scrimmages that he looked very comfortable in the pocket but turns out he is very slow to get out of it when needed.

He has to roll out every single pass since his OLine is dog shite. Perfect for us.

From what has been said its LSU because of the SEC but if the right situation ( coach, program, conference, offense) come into play he may change his mind. I do not see BC being an option. Far from home, not a great conference and if he does not go LSU it will be closer to home.
