I'm no tree hugger, but I know the city parish knows our Live Oaks are sacred.
I'm sure this was carefully debated before such action was approved. Gotta trust our elected officials to do what is best.

Well considering I hate most people I say let the trees live and frick BR, trees just chill and give you something to climb, people just suck.

there are still plenty of tree is baton rouge.
i get the whole it's a 100 years old and it's cool a live oak being around that long, but i bet there was an old live oak right in the middle of the living room of the house they live in at some point in time. it's long over due for that project. i avoided that stretch of road the best i could when i lived in the area.

Wasn't Baton Rouge just recently named the most treed city in America. I guess the reporter didn't get that either. I love all the people that bitch about traffic but when new roads are to be built they bitch about construction and what needs to be removed for the construction.

There are a lot of users on the droppings that are quick to pull the "pussification of America" trigger yet they are also some of the first people to whine about the cutting down of some trees.
