My picture is now black & white. All I did was unplug it from the wall and relocate it. Can someone give me picture advice. This tv is only 3 months old

Have you checked your settings?
Posted on 10/3/12 at 9:23 pm to prostyleoffensetime
Yes and I tried adjusting them. But I don't know much about what the settings should be on
Posted on 10/3/12 at 9:27 pm to ItFliesItDies
There might be an option to reset to default settings.

Are you using hdmi or component? One of the colored components could be unplugged

Wife had hooked up an old DVD player to it, i'm hoping that it was just because of that DVD player. I'm getting COX installed today and will see if it's ok or not. Does anyone have a list for good picture settings?

post the model of the tv and i'll see if i can find some settings for you. Remember though, no set is exactly the same, plus lighting and distance play a part, so all i can give you is a jumping off point.

These are from some of the guys in AVS
This is the owner homepage
Remember, backlight adjust the black levels and contrast adjust the white levels.
Also if you want a really good picture check out the Disney WOW calibration disk. Very easy to use.
Finally alot of the tv gurus don't like any type of motion enhancement on, thats why you will see alot of them with it set to off. If you want it on, then just turn it on.
