You are almost guaranteed to get a spot in the parking garage close to the intersection of Mowry and Center Dr. near the back of campus by Shands. It is about a 15 minute walk to the stadium from there, which isn't too bad, and it's free.

Also, Leonardo's pizza on 43rd (by Milhopper) is amazing.

Lived in Gainesville near NW 39th Ave and 51st...Leonardo's Milhopper is awesome. I think it was started by people when they moved from Chicago.

If you can tolerate hipsters the top has great food. They have some of the best burgers I have ever had. They have plenty of great food that isnt vegan but expect a long wait.

Rockeys is the dueling piano bar and is one of my favorite bars in Gainesville. It might be a little dead on Friday night because Thursday is their big night. It's definitely safe for opposing fans. Last year some Bama fan paid $100 for Roll Tide to be written on the chalkboard behind the pianos. The bars in downtown tend to be a little classier and more refined then the bars in midtown so they might be safer than the midtown bars. Tall Paul's downtown is also another pretty good bar. They have a huge selection of good beers on tap.

What about The Swamp across from the stadium. Is it fun to go there as an apposing fan?

The Swamp is fun, but it gets really crowded and the drinks are pretty highly priced (don't expect to get out cheap buying beer).

not bad, but super pricey (I think buckets are $16). if you are college aged, go to Grog House or Gator City (FYI the back bar of Gator City with the pool tables has a juke box with LSU's fight song on it)

if you are a little older, you can go to Balls, Copper Monkey or 101 Cantina in midtown for drinks. just don't park in the parking lot for Copper Monkey and Pita Pit and walk across the street to the Swamp, because they will tow you within 5 minutes

Tonight I will be at Mark's Prime Steakhouse. Heard a lot of good things about them. Heading over to Dueling Piano's after that.
