what part of Lake Fausse Point is that? is that to the south or closer to lake dauterive? I have a lot of family close to there and am looking to hunt some other places other than our lease. Is that a lease for yall or just public land?

TIA....also not looking for any spots I do my own scouting just trying to orient myself

It's more towards the Jeanerette side. All the lake is public hunting as far as I know.

I'm gunna go on a limb and say y'all with the durands crawfish ponds?

Actually no haha I wish. We are some distant relatives though. We do hunt some rice ponds near Loureville though just not as big

Great video btw! Kinda left that out makes me wish I had been able to make a few hints during the season. Just over a month for big ducks!

Ahh thanks man. Yeah I wish we could've gotten a little more vid if actually shooting but it was just cool getting out there.

I'm already pumped for the big ones.

Thanks tclay. I stole the compact mirror idea from you. Made it 100x better

Once I got the feel for it, I've had good angles since.

I started playing with a stationary shot, but I think I liked it on my head better because it caught everything.

Yep, F that noise. my buddy was thinking about that but that would be terrible IMO. I just throw on a backwards hat and it stabilizes the camera a bit when you shoot.

yeah it took the first hunt, which happened to be the best for us. kinda sucks but big ducks are on the way so ill be ready then.

Sweet vid. What's the compact mirror deal about?

Thanks. When tclay posted his first video on opening weekend he said he used a little makeup mirror to make sure the camera was looking the right way on his head.

My first weekend of using my gopro wasn't too hot so I brought a little mirror in the blind and the video was a lot better.
