Is now the time for Chase Clement to make a difference?

He can make a difference but only if
he is used other than a blocking TE.
Miles needs to throw in a wrinkle or
two in the red zone otherwise Fla. will
stack the box.

Good idea Mr. Clement. Your son should get thrown the ball more often.

dean…..

Clement isn't going to be the benefactor of any additional balls, but Jacobs very well could…. bigger target, better runner, and has shown more reliable hands...

Your post looks like it's a poem.

To answer your question, I think he should be involved more in passing and not solely for blocking. We haven't used a TE (primarily) as a receiver since Richard Dickson.

We need to stop worrying if players or coaches read this board. We get constant reminders that their parents or family members do in fact read and post hear often.

Clement needs to move to fullback for JC (if he is out for a while) and Jacobs could fill in at TE. I think he would be more of a mismatch and Clement has that same mean streak that JC plays with. On paper it looks like a good idea to me.

That's my point! We hasn't been as effective
in the red zone so far this year. Of course
Mett needs to cut down on his picks and
become a more mature leader because time
is running out. Here's hoping he can be the
QB we envisioned during preseason.

The red zone issues need to cease
Thus, our points per game will increase
Having a tight end receiving a pass
Is another way to have the opposing defense gassed
We are not a cupcake team that occasionally rises
We are the purple and gold LSU Tigers!

Not bad for just making it up sitting here, if I do say so myself.

Don't tell that to Mr. Clement.

After all, its not his fault that Chase has a silver spoon permanently in his mouth and cinderblocks for hands. Its Mett's horrible game changing interceptions.

Think Jacobs would do good in the passing game. We could have both of them in on two TE sets and chip the DEs before running their routes.

Two WRs two TEs a rb staying in to block. The TEs chip and you have four receiving options instead of two. Mett could get a lot of underneath stuff going and then it would soften up the deeper routes to give Mett some time in the passing game. It would also soften up the D to drop back in coverage on typical 3rd and 2 when you have everybody in to block knowing that you could hit the TE on a flank route.
