Multiple tailback formations?

With the injury to Copeland something I've thought about for a while comes to mind again.
It seems that the greatest advantage we would have from our wealth of running backs would be to have not just one but two on the field at once. Kind of like the multiple options present in a wildcat play, having Ford and Ware in the backfield at the same time would give opposing Ds headaches in preparing for the many run/pass options we'd have for such talent. It is a bit of a waste to have them sitting on the bench and rotating in (yes, fresh legs are good, but we seem to need a little more spark). For you old timers, I'm reminded of the Saints old "Thunder and Lightening" attack.
For you guys who actually know something about football, would such a scheme be possible? How would you suggest Les set up and run a multiple tailback system?

No suggestions needed. It's been used in every game.
