I'm on my second full listen of this album, and as a huge MUSE fan, I will say that it is a drastic departure. If you only like their "Origin of Symmetry" or "Absolution" stuff, you might not like this one. I'm going to withhold judgement right now, but I will say that it is a decadent album. Fantastic arrangements, great riffs, and great vocals are all there. Give it a listen.

Streaming on iTunes for free, son.

ETA: How about Wolstenholme's lead vocals on "Save Me" and "Liquid State?"

I'll have to check it out...I love a lot of what Muse has put out.

Side note...
Muse uber trolling on an Italian TV show by playing to the backtrack but switching up instruments

Supremacy definitely has a Led Zeppelin feel to it in the beginning

One of my most interesting music-induced experiences was trying to spot meteors during a meteor shower with my roommate on the levee...we weren't seeing shite, so I put on 'Absolution' to jokingly "contact the aliens" and immediately we saw 3 baddddass meteors trail across the sky, ranging from blue to green to purple.

Blows my mind to this day.

My top tracks are:

1. "Liquid State"
2. "Supremacy"
3. "Save Me"
4. "The 2nd Law: Unsustainable"
5. "Animals"

The only song I did not like was "Big Freeze," which might top "Starlight" as my least favorite MUSE song. "Explorers" is meh too.

Overall, I love this album. I can't wait to get my hands on it.
