Having a scary movie night with some friends. Looking for ideas on which movies to get. Trying to avoid the common scary movies and watch something that isn't as well known. Looking for the V/H/S/ and Grave Encounters type of movies. Any ideas?

This.

Damn that movie is good old fashioned scary.

Plus,

The Orphanage is scary as hell...creepy.

Let Sleeping Corpses Lie
Don't look Now
Cemetery Man
Suspiria

Most great, lesser known horror films are hard to find.

my wife would like a scary movie that isn't scary, so if yall have any suggestions it would be appreciated.

She does this every year - I want to watch scary movies that aren't scary. Cabin in the woods would be perfect, if we hadn't seen it already.

This! I honestly didn't even finish the trailer the first time! Once it got to the part with the thing walking in the water I ran out of the room screaming like a little bitch.

Watched the rest of the trailer with my husband, looked pretty freaking scary! I'm sure it'll end up sucking like most scary movies, but that part did scare the Bee Jesus out of me!

some other '70s and '80s movies that aren't as mainstream (I try to stay away from the full hack/slash movies):

Pumpkinhead
Phantasm (Tall man and the 'Cuda are the best parts of this movie)
Curtains (I already mentioned this above)
From Beyond
Re-Animator
Fright Night
Creepshow (one of my favorites)
The Entity
The Serpent and the Rainbow
Invasion of the Body Snatchers
Magic
Nosferatu the Vampyre
