First off, as we have been clamoring for, where is the balance? I believe the last 6 drives in the game were all 3 and outs, and at least 2/3 of the plays were passes. Why do you think there is a continued abandonment of the run when Pierre has been a monster? I also think they either need to bench Ingram or give him something else to do besides running straight into the pile.

In regards to constant pressure Brees is getting, where are the screens? I felt like the entire second half I was yelling this. This would not only slow down the pass rush, but allow us to utilize the best play in Pierre's arsenal. Why do we feel the need to throw it constantly when up by 18 points? I'm longing for some lengthy, balanced drives but we couldn't do that to save our life.

Long story short, where is the balance and where the hell are the screens?

I thought I remember two screens called and both got sniffed out for no gains.

It's been said by others, but I think the other teams know our plays just because of how predictible we are in certain formations/personnel.

Man I'm not sure and I wonder the same got damn thing since the Super Bowl season. The only season we had true offensive balance was 2006 and 2009 and we know how positive those years ended for us.

Sean Payton is suspended.

Does anyone else notice that the offense just seems different in the part of the game where the scripted plays are being run? This seems like a trend during the first 3 games or maybe its just me.

Its almost like we are missing our offensive coordinator and head coach or something. Weird.

Normally I have mentioned this, but yesterday we simply couldn't run block. Our O-line was miserable. We couldn't get any push, or open up any holes. It was just bad.

We do need to call more screens, and use our RB's in different ways. Give Sproles more carries, straight up use PT a lot more, don't give it to Ingram every time he is in the game. We are just so obvious with our formations/player sets.

This. Either they only give him dive plays or he insists on running into the OL's arse with every handoff. I think he can add value but it's got to be in some other formation/play calling scheme.

It seems more than anything offensive playcalling is killing us, especially in the second half of games. We run on first down then pass on 2nd & 3rd always, if I see it so do defenses, its too predictable. We kept going empty backfield yesterday and Drew was getting killed and he went empty on our own goalline, wow. The OC is to predictable, Sean is the best playcaller in the league, thats whats missing.

Carmichael is fine with his scripted plays but when he's got to make in-game adjustments, he's incompetent.

Payton has done a great job basically hiding those tackles for a few years now by actually giving them help, through formations. When defenses adjust to what the Saints are doing with Carmichael, he just kind of keeps on trucking and tries to do the same stuff anyway.

That is the way I see it. Payton used backs and TEs to chip away at DEs before heading out into their routes. I'm not noticing that as much.

I am ready to take my medicine this year, but I would like to see improvement in both playing and play calling.

@NoTiger.... no there was a PT screen in the first half that went for BIG yards... never saw it again.

I don't know if Ingram is a bust or not, but I do know that someone needs to find the page in the playbook where the "run Ingram up the middle on first down" play is... then rip the whole damned page out and fricking burn it.

Agree..Im so tired of seeing Ingram's feet hanging out of the offensive lineman's arse after a short 2 yard gain...
