Since his 09 season, he's done absolutely nothing for the Saints except miss crucial field goals, get suspended, miss an entire season due to injury, and have a 40 year old kicker completely out play him.

I don't know who we could get to replace him but if their is anyone suitable I say do it.

He missed one FG yesterday, which missed the upright by a short hair. His made FG's have pretty much been perfect.

Chill.

You do know kickers miss sometimes right?

Should we get rid of Brees cause of all his INTs this year?

I dont see why you people think this is so absurd. He is a kicker with no proven track record who is no more impressive than any other kicker in the league.

Its not just the field goal yesterday, the last full season he played 2010 he missed 5 field goals. Morstead does all the kicking off also so Hartley doesn't have much value their either

If you think he is no more impressive than any other kicker in the league, maybe the Titans will cut Rob Bironas or the Farty Niners will cut David Akers. Maybe you would rather have Olindo Mare? Or Billy Cundiff? How about Taylor Mehlhaff?

Brees has proven to be an integral part of this team and has set records left and right. Hartley hasn't done diddly shite for this team.

Yes, he hit a 40something yarder to send the saints to the Superbowl, props to him on that, but good kickers crush those daily.

Make 40 yarders that send their team to the SB? I would love to see a list

Out of curiosity, what do you want in a kicker?

He makes like 85% of his kicks and is especially accurate outside of 40 yards

ooooh whooptie fricking do, he did his job. aaron brooks led the team to its first playoff win...you want him back by that logic.

i've been saying since last year it was time to get rid of him.

the lost game yesterday wasn't his fault, though. so that kick in no way influenced how i feel about him.

Neal Rackers is available. I don't think he's any better than Harley, but he has kicked in big games (playoffs and Super Bowl). Oh, so has Hartley!

Of all the things going wrong for this team this year, Garrett Hartley is pretty much one of my least concerns.

Just like you don't get why they keep him around (when he's healthy he's been solid), I don't get why anyone is worried about it.

Yes because he didn't send us to the Super Bowl or keep us the game in the first half of the Super Bowl or anything. Guy never makes kicks... (thick sarcasm)
