Why do campers not have gooseneck hitches? Makes much more sense than having that huge fricking hitch in your bed.

No idea boss. Interested to learn this too.

Lots do. people who have a regular goose neck set up for farm or whatever get the conversion for their fifth wheel.

I had a little 19ft fifth wheel I bought from out west that was a super light mountain edition that set pretty high off the ground for clearance. Pulled it with my V6 tacoma. I could go places with that set up.

Cheaper. The fifth wheel hitch is a couple hundred bucks alone, plus the rails you get installed which is comparable to a ball for a gooseneck.

that's more of a vacation than camping trip. Just grab the peanut butter on the way out and it's a whirl of a good time.

Are they? I've never counted, but I think I see more bumper pulls that 5th wheels. Or, are you meaning more popular than goose neck? Frankly, the goose neck set up scares me. Seems like a lot of weight on a smallish pole.

Talking about it being easier than a gooseneck. Goosenecks can be a pita to hook up yourself.

Think I'm getting a goosneck if I ever get a camper. Already have the ball in my truck and having that monstous hitch frame in my truck would piss me off incredibly.

No. I bought from southern rv and theyve been great to deal with. I bought my keystone outback 312bh when the new models came out. I got a 2011 after the 12's came out. 12k off rebate they ran on the old year models. Just so happened the only one in the country left was in shreveport. I priced some used 2010's that were 5 and 6 more than I got mine for new. They have a southern rv in laff. too my neighbor bought from.

I figured they were a pita to take out since the people I know with 5th wheels seem to never take them out.

Only if you aren't used to towing it. BB using a 5th wheel and doesn't have a problem..and she's a girl.
