"LSU's SEC opener at Auburn might not be a gimme, either. The (Auburn) Tigers have a bunch of returning starters and could gain confidence with a mild upset of Clemson this Saturday. Washington (Sept. 8) is OK, but going to Auburn will be the first legit test for quarterback Zach Mettenberger and the freshman corners filling in for Tyrann Mathieu."

trap game....cute little cliche for people trying to spin reality. great teams are prepared and ready to play every game balls out. there is no substitute...actually there is...it's called losing.

A trap game is not necessarily one that you win. It's one in which a heavily favored team is outplayed by an out-manned opponent. I say ENOUGH of this scheduling and subsidizing cream puffs at the beginning of the season. Last year's games with Oregon and West Virginia kept LSU on their toes for the rest of the season.
