I don't doubt either, in fact I am sure it is true. All phone companies will. Who cares if the FBI has that stuff on their laptop? By law phone companies need to turn a LOT more than that over whenever it is requested so it being on a laptop isn't a big deal. Our privacy laws are all gone due to the reactionary fricks we have in this country and them allowing the patriot act to be passed. It doesn't matter if you vote Republican or Democrat....if you vote for either you are voting for less privacy.
ETA: the charge for my iPhone hit my card yesterday which means it shipped!

what does apple's privacy policy say? i havent read the whole thing but i'd imagine there is a loophole allowing this somewhere in the 38741302985712 pages of it
