Where are the bass?
oxbows? flooded timber? log jams? lillipads/grass?
any help is appreciated. Headed to lock and dam launch off highway 1 and fishing lake caspiana in the morning--hopefully that gives you and idea of where we will be located.
Thanks

Don't know about the bass, but we loaded up in white-sac-a-crappie in Caspiana a while back on yo-yos. Caught one damn nice bass too. Probably close to 5# on a shiner &yo-yo.

Shallow running crank bait. Shad coloror something with chartuse...
I launch out of bishops and fish that area a little. I try to avoid Caspiana because everybody and their mother fishes it. Nonetheless, they hit that bait 13 months out of the year on the river.
