Very sad for the whole community.

I cringe watching some kids tackle. I'm not saying thats what happened in this case, but I can't tell you how many times I see players tackle with their head down. Even at the nfl level they do it.

ETA: hope this kid is ok

Where'd you hear this?

A player from Airline broke his fibula tonight. Haven't heard a single thing about someone breaking his neck.

Wow, what a difference. Some women probably heard fibula and turned it into neck

The object is to get the ball carrier down. Football requires maximum effort...it's just a fact that sometimes you'll use the crown of your head. Sometimes, in some tackling situations, it's impossible to keep what your hitting in sight. It just happens

Not really, keep your head up and you should be fine.

A lot of players don't tackle correctly, that's a fact.

Some of it just happens, some is really bad form.

I think you could agree with that.

What I mean was not deep your head, and use your crown.

I do, and alot is based off the ballcarrier and his body position. Some angles make it really tough to have "perfect" form

Why don't you edit your title until you can confirm this is true.

Go back to leather helmets and I guarantee nobody will ever tackle with the crown of their head.

I have been saying this exact same thing this football season. With the big emphasis on leading with the helmet, take the facemasks off and go to the leather helmets and watch concussion rates fall.
