So normally I would do this on a saturday but I'm going to be busy tomorrow so I will post it today. Through out my training camp posts I knew one thing, this team would struggle if the offensive line did not perform up to standards. Although going back and watching the game again it seemed like they had a decent game as a whole, I give "picking up blitzes" an F. No QB not even Brees can function with pressure in their face and besides the defense totally laying an egg that was the most discouraging thing I saw from last week. It is a new day, and a new week and I'm excited to see the effort and passion this team will have coming out against a divisional foe on the road.

Points of Interest
-Brees has been very succesful against Carolina even though the 6-6 record does not depict it. I expect him to come out on fire and get the offense back on track.

-Carolina's defense is 85% similar to last season. A new LB,LCB, and FS has sured up the middle and secondary. The defense stacked the box with 8 men all day last week versus Newton and were successful at containing him and making him throw from the pocket. The Saints will need to contain him and put enough pressure to make him uneasy and make mistakes.

The Saints are 30-1 when rushing for over 120 yds since 2006. Tempo and control will be key in a game with a lot of firepower.

Predictions
The Saints have always had close games when on the road in Carolina. I expect this one to be intense starting off fast and ending with defense. Spags knows he needs to get the ball in Brees' hands as much as possible for this team to be successful, and to do that you need turnovers and timely stops. I expect the defense to be +2 in the turnover ratio this week.

Brees- 322yds 2TD 1INT
Sproles- 43yds 0TD/32yd RCV 0TD
Thomas- 66yds 0TD/ 12yd RCV 0TD
Ingram- 25yds 0TD/ 0yd RCV 1TD

Colston- 8 REC 109yd 1TD
Moore- 6 REC 37yd 0TD
Graham- 4REC 76yd 1TD
Camarillo- 3 REC 46yd 0TD
Morgan- 1REC 10yd 0TD

Defense- 354 YA 3TD/ 2INT 1FF/REC

Hartley- 3/3 XP--2/2 FG(27,43)
I see the defense coming up with a late stop to put Hartley in position to kick the game winning FG from 43yds.

Saints 27 Panthers 24

My keys to the game are for the Saints to score more points than the over team.

Saints should roll.

I don't see three turnovers though.

The run game is going to be the difference in this game. Panthers ran for a franchise low of 10yds last week against the Bucs so they will looking to establish that. If the Saints can make them one dimensional and force Cam to throw from the pocket, they should win.
