Trying to order the game on Direct TV

Holy shite what a pain this is. The agent is in China or something, barely understands english, and clearly has no idea what it is that I'm talking about. She's had to "check the details" 4 or 5 times, placing me on hold every time

It is ALWAYS this way with them. Could you not order it from the receiver? Usually they try to charge you a $5 phone order charge, but waive it after they put you through an hour's worth of torture to order one football game!

Just went ahead and tried to order it. Was on hold for 10-15 minutes while the customer service rep tried to figure out what channel the game was on! She couldn't! Her supervisor couldn't! The game is on in two freakin days and they don't know what channel it is on yet?!?! Her response was "this is a known issue and we are looking into it." A bunch of freakin idiots! I'd bet my next paycheck that I'm on the phone with them right up until kick trying to get the d*mn game to show up...man their customer service is AWFUL!!!

Should have got cox. Satellite fricking sucks. I don't understand how anyone likes it. I'd rather pay a little bit more for cable and not have a laggy arse guide and shitty service. I get American people when I call cox customer service, which is rarely.

Not everyone is so blessed to live in the city of Baton Rouge. Ever thought of that?

I already posted this. Called DTV this afternoon. He said to call back Fri evening and put in my order. No problem. I cannot order by screen because I don't have a land line. Only cell phone.

The guy was not Chinese. I'd say third generation Hungarian at best.

Ok, I admit. I didn't think about that part. I guess my post was more geared towards people in the city who choose satellite over cable.

Dish customer service is much better. The only negative with Dish is they don't have Espnu in HD. Other than that, they rock. Cable companies suck here so had to go with satellite. First time I haven't had Cox so it was an adjustment at first.

I have Direct TV and I got the sports package this year when I went with them over TWC. Game Plan is included. If you have some sort of sports package, ask them if it's included. Try to call at 8am like I did. It helped to not hafta wait so long, but you guys are right. They have no idea what we're asking them. The game comes on channel 788.
