Why do pro golfers have the caddy throw them the ball when hitting driver?

Whenever you see the pros warm up with a driver, they do not touch the balls in the bucket and always have the caddy hand them them the ball. Why is this?

caddies are cleaning dirt/sand off ball (i would assume youre referring to range balls)...keeps their driver face from getting scratched. i was a looper

Commonly, a fluffer keeps an adult film star "cleaned up" in between takes so that the actor does not have to move from their position. These duties, which do not necessarily involve touching the actors, are considered part of the makeup department. After setting up the desired angle, the director asks the actors to hold position and calls for the fluffer to "fluff" the actors for the shot.
While the role of a fluffer could be as simple as implied above, fluffing could also entail sexual acts such as fellatio or non-penetrative sex.
A fluffer, in the porn industry is someone who sucks the guy off to get him hard so they can perfom.

Because they're placing it on a tee. With an iron, they roll it in place with the club.
