This dude looked like he was comnpletely lost and had no clue. He was just standing on the sideline with the headset on and that was it.

His personality seems to be laid back from Payton and others.

Yeah, he didn't tackle anyone and I didn't see him even try to get open once. Horrible pursuit to the ball also. It may be too late to pick up a suitable FA though.

Seriously, what do you want him do? A lot of hall of fame coaches have done the same thing.

If he's going to stand so far back from the field and have no clue, appoint someone who does.

Someone on the sideline should have been making a TO call on that 12 man penalty. He needs to fix his Oline play regardless, hope it's not all too much for his plate.

Damn! How do you grade an interim to the interim head coach in his first head coaching gig? Is there even a comparison to base it off of?

C-/D+ I guess. I hated that we didn't go for the onside kick and the penalties were bad, which is really the only thing I can pin on him for sure.

I would have liked to see some more screen passes to slow down the rush, but I'm not sure how much input he has/had in the play calling. I did like that we didn't give up though. It seemed like there were some halftime adjustments, but they just didn't make a huge difference. That defense was terrible.

But I'm not sure him jumping around like Pete Carroll or other coaches who run around would have made a difference.

He made Jim Caldwell look like George Patton.

Kromer looked worse than Jim Caldell in some ways.

Caldwell looked as if he were watching a Japanese ballet - just checked out and indifferent.

Kromer was standing further back on the sideline than I've ever seen an NFL coach and looked intimidated.

Not like that's an excuse for our offensive line play or how shitty our defense was, but was still frustrating.

And for those who think we're just "lashing out", I never criticized Carmichael last season - especially for his demeanor. That Rams game was brutal but at least Pete was in control and active on the sideline.

Wish he'd have been a little more creative with the run today but he was dealt a frustrating hand.

So how'd this guy explain himself in the post-game presser?

I'll defend him he wasn't that bad on the postgame. Said we'll fix it, gave credit to the Redskins, etc.

I've actually like what I've seen and heard from him in interviews, which is why I was so surprised to see what a huge pussy he looked like on the sideline today.

That's good to hear. I mean we all knew we were going to lose a couple of games where we faced crisis situations and the replacement coaches weren't up to the challenge. I just didn't expect it to be the first defensive series of game 1.

same here. i dont know if he was nervous or didnt know if you're supposed to act differently as a HC or what, but he seemed like the coaching equivalent of an empty suit the whole game. I think out of the 10 or so times they showed him on the sideline he was actually speaking or doing anything at all maybe once.
