They honestly believe Washington has a shot. They said they think their D-line can get pressure on mett especially now that LSU lost an O lineman to injury. And they think their QB will have a field day against our young and inexperienced secondary. Do you take these comments seriously? Or are they just huskies being huskies? Debate

Would they be real fans of thier team if they did not belive this? But when the game is over they will know the truth.

Did they notice that we don't need no stinking passing game?
Hilliard is gonna run train on them

They do have a shot. Their passing offense is potent, our secondary and LB's are inexperienced. They shouldn't be favored by any stretch of the imagination, but I doubt this is going to be the easy 40 pt. blowout some expect.

old Germans saying " that is why they play the game"

I never count anyone out but based on there play last week and the opponent I would have to say each and every person on there D would have to play possessed. U Dub would have to make mid-late season adjustments through a week of practice and that just won't happen. This game Mett is looking to make a statement and the O-line ha something to prove

What is wrong with that? Troy almost beat excellent LSU teams....twice. Appy State beat Michigan. If LSU comes out flat against a lowly-regarded foe (Washington may not be very good, but they are better than Towson, Idaho and North Texas).
This team won 7 games in 2011, including wins over Hawaii, Cal, Utah, Colorado, Arizona and Washington State. They gave up 51 points to Nebraska, 65 points to Stanford, 40 to USC, 38 to Oregon State and 67! to Baylor (Alamo Bowl).
However, in those 5 games, they scored 153 points. Toss in a 34-17 loss to Oregon, and they scored 170 points in their 6 losses. A team that comes into Tiger Stadium and moves the ball, and stays close (24-13 at the half, for example), even with minimal defense, can make this a game in the second half. Making it a game is at least half the fight against a highly ranked and more talented team.
The game starts at 0-0 and we don't play the game on paper. I think the offense, particularly the passing game clicks and LSU wins in dominant fashion, going away, 49-10, but anything can happen on Saturday.

Fans flying across the country at great expense - especially when your team has been mediocre for a while at best - are going to see things on the sunny side.
We *do* have a chance, but it's a puncher's chance. We aren't bereft of talent in all positions, but to win against a team like LSU on the road at night? We'll need big plays, turnovers, people to play at a level we haven't seen before, maybe even injuries. In short we'll need to catch breaks. If we played this game 20 times I'd say we win 1 or 2. That's still a chance.
If they showed a slip betting $1000 on UW to win straight up, then you can say they're insane.
Oh, and the plural is 'huskies' but the singular is 'husky'. You talked to Husky fans today.

The 2008 lsu team was far from excellent

Their d-line getting pressure on Mett was a concern before the injury. I don't think it's any more or less of a concern now. We will still put up enough points to win either way.
Our entire secondary isn't lacking experience. One corner position is. And that position nearly makes up in talent what it misses in experience. I'm sure they will test it...and I'm sure they will fail.
I suspect at the end of this game we will come out just like every other game. Washington will hang around on the scoreboard, but the game will never seem in doubt.
LSU leads 10-7 at end of 1st
LSU leads 17-7 at half
LSU leads 31-10 at end of 3rd
LSU wins 41-17

I have a feeling our fans will be uncomfortable at halftime, but LSU will blow it open in the third.

If we lose to fricking Washington, I may throw up.

Fans that support their team are dumb. They need to learn to be more like the Rant.

This. Washington doesn't have the depth to hang with LSU in the 2nd half
