Wouldn't you need to be a Dan Patrick viewer to accurately answer this question?

Possibly the most overused, tired, and worn out phrase in pop culture today.

I've tried listening to DP but I find the above very annoying, even more than the often-dissed Mike and Mike

DP is one of the best in the business hands down.
In saying that, I quit listening about a year or so ago. I got so tired of him bashing ESPN every chance he got. Don't get me wrong, I am not a fan of ESPN either, but bring me interviews and sports talk, not mentions of the 4-letter network and mothership. I also grew tired of the Danette act as well. It seemed to become scripted and to much like a tv show, I know it is. I also do not care about what movies you are going to be in with the Sandman next.
Another reason I quit listening is it was carried by 104.5 in Nashville, and I got so sick of listening to Clay Travis pump his stations ratings and how cool he is, that I would do my part not to become a statistic.
End Rant.

Is this a permanent move? If so it sucks. I like the call in interviews better than face to face.

I watch the Dan Patrick show from time to time. I think the entertainment value in his show is that you have Dan and then you have four guys who have different personalities. It is more of comical banter between the five men than it is of actually analyzing sports.
Dan makes his past with ESPN more than it should be. He has burnt more bridges with the "mothership" and he does seem bitter about it. Patick does seem to have a point about many of the "celebrities" of the mothership who are more concerned with their own egotisitical status in the sports world.
Dan tries to be too much like Howard Stern at times ( minus the profanity). His cohorts on the show take Dan's criticism one minute and then are laughing together after the next break. I admit that I watch for the comedy act than for actual sports news.

You watch people that are painfully unfunny for the comedy aspect?

On some level, Dan seems to act like the old high school teacher who tries to be friends and act cool with his students. I get satisfaction is trying to see what humour Dan will come up with in his interaction with his four Danettes. If I want true interrogating interviews, I would probably watch Bob Costas.

That word would be swagger.

I have seen the show. Dan looks like he has Parkinsons with the way he moves and jostles. Annoying
