Square creating another entry into ff 13...

another entry with lightning as the main character. I don't know what square is doing by keep making sequels to ff13. The characters aren't intriguing and the story is way below par.

We Need Versus XIII
I know i'm in the minority but i would like to add that FFXIII is actually pretty solid. I agree with you that the story was subpar but the gameplay,music and graphics made up for it.

FF 13 Versus has great potential because of the people who are working on it have a great track record. With Final Fantasy 13 what I couldn't stand was that the characters were terrible and the story was awful. The only character that I thought was ok was Sazh. The graphics are great but that's not what makes a game great. There was just nothing memorable that I can take from that game.

Versus is made by the Kingdom Hearts team(which is a great series).
On FFXIII: I see what you're saying but i just think people were too harsh on it when it came out honestly.

frick FFXIII and all the sequels that emanate therefrom.
I used to love final fantasy, but now I just wish square enix would give the series the old yeller treatment. Let the series die with a shred of dignity.

I thought I'd never get to this point but I'm pretty close right now. If 13 versus turns out to be dog crap too I've lost all hope for the future final fantasies.

I don't know much about versus except that I keep hearing conflicting reports on it's cancellation/development.
Pretty sure it's ps3 only, so that game int even on my radar.

They could port it to the 360,Gameplay will be action based(Devil May Cry-esque) and will have 3rd person shooter elements plus you can drive a freaking tank. I've also heard it will have an open world like the old ones,I'm really looking forward to it.

Those characters sucked. This is the only game where I purposely lost battles just so I could watch certain characters die.
